Author Guidelines

ESKALASI: Economy, Digital, and Social Studies accepts scholarly manuscripts in the form of research articles, conceptual studies, and best practice reports that are relevant to the journal's focus and scope, namely: sharia economics, finance, accounting, digital technology, and Islamic studies. Authors are expected to follow the guidelines below to ensure the quality and consistency of publications.

General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and have not been published or are under review in any other journal.

  • Articles should be written in proper academic Indonesian.

  • Manuscripts should be between 4,000 – 5,000 words, including the abstract and references.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  • Title: Clear, concise, and reflective of the article's content, with no more than 14 words.

  • Author(s): Names should be written without academic titles, followed by institutional affiliation and an active email address.

  • Abstract: Written in both Indonesian and English, not exceeding 250 words, and should include objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.

  • Keywords: A maximum of four relevant keywords.

  • Main Body: Comprising introduction, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and recommendations.

  • References: Written in APA Style (latest edition) and should only include sources cited in the article.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word.

  • Font: Constantia, size 12 pt, line spacing 1, with standard margins (4 cm left, 3 cm right, top, and bottom).

  • Use Arabic numerals for headings and subheadings (e.g., 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., etc.).

  • Figures and tables must be numbered, titled, and sourced (if applicable), and embedded within the main text (not submitted separately).

Additional Provisions

  • Authors are fully responsible for the content and originality of their manuscripts.

  • Articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Upon acceptance, authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewer feedback before publication.

  • All citations and references must be derived from credible academic sources (journals, academic books, proceedings, etc.).

  • Plagiarism above 20% will not be tolerated and will result in automatic rejection of the manuscript.
