Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to ESKALASI: Sharia Economics, Finance, Accounting, Digital, and Islamic Studies undergoes a rigorous and objective peer-review process to ensure its scientific quality and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope. The journal applies a double-blind review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from one another to maintain the integrity and objectivity of the evaluation.
Once a manuscript passes the initial screening by the editorial board (based on thematic relevance, formatting compliance, and originality), it is forwarded to two reviewers who possess expertise in the relevant subject area.
The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its novelty, methodology, clarity of argumentation, relevance of references, and overall scholarly contribution. The review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and reviewer availability. If necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the author for revisions (minor or major) before a final decision is made.
The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the editor, based on the recommendations provided by the reviewers.
